I am a link collector. I have so many links saved, I have them stored in three different places. One of my favorite things to do is put together a lesson plan, a unit or even just a daily lesson, using information from many different web sites. (I know, I really need to get a hobby...)
With the Internet, the world is at your fingers, so why not take advantage of it?
I have put together a series of articles called "Links to..." which is simply a collection of links neatly (or not so neatly) gathered into one place.
You can find the links (and my other articles) at:
http://www.homeschool-tips.com/RscArticle.asp
The titles I have available now are:
American History: The 1800’s: Part 1
American History: The 1800’s: Part 2
American History: The Civil War
Art
Math
Math Part 2
Language Arts: Reading Instruction and Help
Preschool
Reference
Science: Anatomy
The Holidays: Christmas
I will be adding more titles as I get a chance. If you have any ideas for topics, please let me know. I am sure I have the links to fill it!
Until next time...

Home Learning Year by Year: How to Design a Homeschool Curriculum
Finally, homeschoolers have a comprehensive guide to designing a homeschool curriculum, from one of the country´s foremost homeschooling experts. Rebecca Rupp presents a structured plan to ensure that your children will learn what they need to know when they need to know it, from preschool through high school. Based on the traditional pre-K through 12th-grade structure, Home Learning Year by Year features:
The integral subjects to be covered within each grade
Standards for knowledge that should be acquired by your child at each level
Recommended books to use as texts for every subject
Guidelines for the importance of each topic: which knowledge is essential and which is best for more expansive study based on your child´s personal interests
Suggestions for how to sensitively approach less academic subjects, such as sex education and physical fitness.
